The frame is made from scratch using thick gauge sterling silver wires, shaped on mandrels, and soldered together. I then added pink tourmaline and light blue apatite rondelles along the border, each rondelle is individually twisted and wound onto the frame. The asymmetrically placed centre is decorated with layers of citrine, peridot, and more light blue apatite rondelles, symbolizing the colours (air, sea and land, flora and fauna) of Caladan in Frank Herbert's Dune Universe.
The focal can be converted into a pendant-enhancer, which essentially means that this will become a multi use pendant - clip onto your existing necklace for a new look or wear it with an omega collar for a truly dramatic look, or simply stung onto your chain for more delicate look.
